The center provides comprehensive confidential state-of-the-art care to adults infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) throughout the Hampton Roads area by specialized health care professionals.

Our team of providers include full-time board-certified Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine and Family Medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, medical counselors and case managers who specialize in HIV care and are ready to address a range of patient needs.

"Infectious diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide, and the number of deaths from infectious diseases in the United States has been increasing. The wide use of effective antibiotics, the potential for universal immunization for many childhood illnesses, and success stories such as the imminent eradication of polio encouraged the perception that infectious diseases are no longer a public health threat. However, even as some previously epidemic infectious diseases have been controlled, new diseases emerge and old disease rebound, sometimes in drug-resistant forms. These events increasingly challenge public health and medical care professionals."
